S2000 getting "long in the tooth"
The Vette is a good car at a good price for the performance it offers. Two thinks keep me from buying one. First, they have pushrod (oont overhead cam) engines, and I hate pushrod engines. Just a personal thing (maybe). Second, I'm not impressed with "plastic body" cars. I've seen too many wrecked Vettes, and they just seem to disintigrate! Also, the paint tends to develop problems on this car just a little too soon.
My S 2000 is a bit long in the tooth in terms of years (6) but not miles (28,000) I've started looking for a replacement and can't find a damned thing that suits me for under six figures -- and much that does not suit me for over six figures.

I have a confession to make fella's. I have been driving by the Porsche dealership by my house and drooling over the Cayman's. They're all lined up in a row screaming "Buy me buy me". I have been looking on the internet and the S's are starting to go for the mid to low $40k's now.
I hate to admit it but once they hit the $35k mark I'm gone.

I don't get the whole Cayman S thing.
Why not get a Boxster S? Would you really notice the improved ''chassis stiffness'' in the Cayman S over the Boxster S?
IMHO dropping the top on a Boxster S is hella more fun than having a slightly stiffer car.
Is the Cayman S really faster on a track than a Boxster S?
