Default S2000 Getting More Respect

It seems like the S2000 is no longer being called a "miata". It has gained a lot of respect among car people. I think that most people did not know what this car was about when it first came out. Some people still have no idea. When I got my car people that I showed it to thought that it was just another convertable. However, once they got a ride at 9k they were amazed. I just hope that as these cars become lower in price that ricers do not get ahold of them and make them something that they are not.

I think the S2000 has always gotten the respect it deserves from the enthusiast community. I don't care that some numbnuts who can't tell the difference between a GT3 and a "red sports car" thinks my car is a Miata. <-- generalization of people who know nothing of cars

Unfortunately, I think its too late to keep the car out of the hands of ricers. . . you can get a used one for <$20,000 now. Too late.

Unfortunately this car is now cheap enough for anybody to own.

Unfortunately, the S2K has begun to become more affordable to those who are now turning them into ricers! Even Honda Tuning wrote an article about how you can pick one up for $16-17K and tune it...or in the case of some...rice it out!

It's not like it's a limited production, $200k+ car. But yes it is more affordable now that there is a larger inventory of used s2k's. I'm happy it's more affordable now since that's why I was able to buy one

well those ricers won't be around long.. because we all know they'll all end up in a ditch somewhere or up against a guard rail.... so we just need to be patient... and soon enough it'll be only a select few of us around....
