I'm sorry to hear that.

The people who key cars out of hate or jealousy are typically the same people who get envious of other people's possessions and toys. And while the rest of us work long and hard at our jobs to save up to be able to afford these toys and assets, those other people are blowing all of their money on drugs, alcohol, other bullshit, etc etc. They don't grasp the concept that if you truly want something, you have to work hard and discipline yourself to be frugal with your money. And because of this, they get jealous of other people's toys without comprehending what most of us have done and sacrificed to afford the S2000's, BMW's, Porsches, and Ferrari's.

Take solace in the fact that these people will get nowhere in life, and will probably have to live off welfare to survive another day.

Good luck with your insurance co and like someone already said, get that paint fixed before the rust kicks in.
Oxygen thieves!

I would just love to see what a person's thought process is when he/she decide to do something like this. Idiots, I tell you.

I've had two cars keyed in the last month. Been living here for over 30 years and been lucky until this year. My GTI VR6 hood was keyed last month while it was parked in my driveway. Just got it back from the painter this morning and it's perfect again BUT I went to Austin Wednesday and the S2000 was keyed from the driver side key back about three feet. Total cost for both cars is going to be about $900.

Sigh.

Anyone who causes destruction like that is an idiot, a half wit, and a coward. It really takes a lot of guts to destroy somebody's property without coming face to face with them doesn't it? When they're caught, they should be:

Locked in a portable toilet that been used at the county fair and unemptied for 3 weeks, then the john should be set on fire, shoved over a cliff, and then machine gunned as they fall! After the toilet hits the bottom, they should be dragged behind the S2K that they keyed.....and, well, need I go on? I'm SO glad I have a garage!!

I wouldn't go through insurance. That will put a claim in your record and increase your rates. It is sad that if you use insurance for what you bought it for you get punished but unfortunately that is the reality. In the long run youd probably be better off paying for it out of pocket.
