Do you recall if it was out of spec at 105?
Well the shop didn't freak out. I asked them if it was bad and they said 'no". It idled smoother and more quiet afterward though so it definitely needed it.

Retainers were also inspected at that time with no issues.

Another testament to the fact that you can have a sports car and rock solid durability at the same time

Quick question about the oil filter .. Will it last 6k miles? i currently use mobil 1 full synthetic as well and change it every 3750 miles..

The oem pcx filter is rated for at least 6000 miles. Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe that you can change the filter every other oil change if you're on conventional oil (although I change it every time). But since you're on synthetic I would just change it every 6k-7k miles, 3.75k miles is overkill to me.

Yes it will last. My Blackstone UOA was done with a 6k interval using the OEM (PCX-004) filter. It was all good.

***Update***

After a run out to Arizona for the "Fun In The Sun" event in Phoenix and visiting my girlfriend's family in Tucson, we turned 175,000 miles on the odometer!!! Lookout 200k here we come.

All is still well with the car, but we dropped a lowbeam (HID) while on the trip and will be replacing the bulbs as soon as they arrive. They lived a good long life considering I use them both day and night.

Everything else is great. I just bolted on some AP2-V1 rims with some Toyo T1R rubber. I've been waiting a long time to get these and finally got a good price.

As always, feel free to reply here or PM me with any questions.
