i have dual hella airhorns...
they sound much more serious and "classy"- they match our car well!
imo, a must-do mod!

Ditto on the hellas. I had the dual fiamm trumpet airhorns before. There is a slight lag because of the compressor and you get flipped off every time you blast them for scaring the bejesus out of people. But as a counterpoint, even cab drivers will yield to airhorns...then flip you off. I am thinking of adding two more hellas for a total of four.

Fellas, thanks for the tip. I thought I was the only one who found MY 00 and MY 01 S2000 horn sissy sounding. Hellas sounds like a good replacement. Was it direct bolt on? Where can I get them? Price? Heck, even my wife thinks my S2K horns are weak. Although I only use the horn once in a blue moon, when I use it, it's just does not feel right.

Years ago a buddy of mine had about 7-8 electric horns on his car (a big land yacht). He just pulled them from different cars in the junk yard. So there was no "tune" to them - it had a jangled dis-chord sound to them. It was just terrible to listen to - and boy did it get folks attention.

Anyone with double hellas what is the pricing/timing of the mod. I must get a new horn, never really thought about it since I never use it, but with a great horn sounds I think I would use it all the time.

i got my hellas from a local shop... but they are available on the internet too-
i searched and found several choices-
example is this one:

http://www.classicgarage.com/classicgarage...-air-horns.html

note that they have triple hellas too! i think that would be even better than the doubles!

now that's what I'm talking about.

MarkS2K has airhorns on his MY2000 and they sound awesome. I need to get off my lazy butt and make this change.

BTW, the MY2002 horns still suck. They are a little bit better than before but you'd have to hear both side by side to notice much difference. Trust me.

I have the Hella twin electric "supertone" horns!
118 db and they're loud enough to make people jump!!
The install is probably easier than the air horns too!!

Here's a link to purchase them!!
