Thumbs up s2000 key fob

i bought my 2000, s2000 from my work, and it did not have the door remotes. i had spoke with someone from honda that said all s2000's come with door remotes, and it would be about $107 to get a new remote. What i was wondering was, could i program a door remote from a different s2000, to work on my car. If so, how do i do it?

You can do it, and it's pretty simple. They're available on Ebay for around $40. Dealer told me the same thing, about $100. What a joke.

Check the library forum for instructions on programing it.

Happy shopping!

From my experience at the dealer when mine went out, the s2k key fob is completely different from all the other honda fob's even though they look identical...

No - I programmed my wife's '99 CR-V remote to operate my '01 S2000 door locks. Only had to carry one fob for both cars.

I needed to buy one too, and after searching on s2ki, it seemed members bought from thepartsyouneed.com, so I tried them.

DO NOT BUY from thepartsyouneed.com! yea, it was cheap. But they didn't ship anything for 3 weeks. Once I finally got it a month later, I got a key fob remote for a DIFFERENT car, and it was used. Used! I couldn't believe it.

I've sent them multiple emails and left messages on their phone, but no response and am disputing the charges with my credit card company.
