when I went to put in an order for remote for the Accord I noticed I got free shipping, so I bought a 2nd remote for the S2000 and a pair for the Accord. FINALLY I will have remotes that work and that I can use.

ThePartsYouNeed.com rocks!

Got the 2nd order in today.

The Accord and the S2000 use the same programming, but different remotes. I tried to program a KOBUTAH2T remote to the S2000 (E4EG8DJ) but it didn't accept it.

I also see that 2 of the people I bought from on ebay are gone now - Eagles_Wingz and Sunsetcoverd .

It looks like they took a bunch of money and ran by their current feedback.

I'm a bit confused over this.
Do the remotes you got from "ThePartsYouNeed.com" work or don't they?

And who are "Eagles_Wingz and Sunsetcoverd"? Are they affiliated with "ThePartsYouNeed.com"?

ThePartsYouNeed.com remotes work fine.

The other people were sellers I bought from on ebay that sent me JUNK and now they're finally kicked off ebay, but only after apparently ripping off quite a few people recently.

I suppose that was a little confusing.

The S2000 remotes work just fine on the S2000.

Since the programming instructions were the same for each car, I checked to see if you could interchange the remotes, but the cars don't recognize the other remotes' signal.

I couldn't program an Accord remote to the S2000, but the Accord remotes worked on the Accord and the S2000 remotes worked on the S2000.

That should clear things up.

Thanks. I was waiting to hear of your experiences before ordering a remote for my PT from that site.

I watched the dealer program a new remote for me when I picked up my '01 last weekend...took him all of about 10 seconds. Unbelieveable that they'd try to charge you $30 for that.

Or next time, you could do it yourself:

Yeah, I think the dealer has 2 ways to do it. Either with their little portable diagnostics tool, or by the turning the key and pressing buttons method.
