I think also that the S2000 has been around in it's present form for a while and may not be as "new" to editors and writers as some of the other cars.
Maybe the person who wrote that was used to drive a Mercury Grand Marque. Of course S2000 is too instense for him.

S2000 has been out for 5 years now. There is nothing really new for the media
to report only comparisons. Even Honda didn't advertise the S2000 that much when it first came out.
