Not Texas. Definitely mountains. I was having a bit of fun in Tucson last week. I could of made a purple Honda Pilot slam into a mountain wall, but instead I made him pass.
I was going from the museum back to my hotel, and a passport was tail gating me at 60 mph in a 35 which was pretty much a straight line with a few twists, so I brake checked him to send him/her the message to get the hell off my bumper, and made them pass by going the speed limit, then when it was the real mountain twists the pussy was going 20 mph after flooring it off at 60+ on the straight line while I kept to the speed limit.
Anyways, when the mountain is the side of the road you can't push it. It was honestly the most fun though to go down hill on the roller coaster twisting part of the mountain and it kept me at 45 with the clutch engaged and foot off the gas.

The best place to own an S2000 is NOT in any city. The country with no traffic lights, no traffic and within 35 minutes of 3,000'+ mountains...oh wait that's where I live.

Google the 100 Mile Loop/3 Sisters/Twisted Sisters.
Hope you didn't have the clutch engaged and foot off the gas on the turns...
