s2000 or M3
Don't stone me guys but as an owner of an M3 Cab and S2000, this is what I have to say...
Street driving, track and hills: S2000
Long Hwy drives, entertaining 3 other friends, and safety: M3
Maintenance: S2000, it costs me $109 to change the friggin oil on the M3.
Wowing your father in law: M3
Driving down the street and having people look: S2000 (I don't care what you say but people look at the M3 because they know how much it costs. People look at the S2000 because of the shape.)

My advice to you...you guessed it! Go drive an M3. If you like it and can afford it, buy it. You have enough money to buy an M3, but you can't decide what kind of car to get? I'm not trying to be an ass, but there are some things a man should be able to decide for himself.
Write down your needs/wants, then the pros and cons of both cars, assign "X" value (only you can assign these values) to such attributes as "safety" (some people will not buy a car without side air bags, for instance) "looks" "performance" "practicality" and then the untangibles such as "passion" "satisfaction" and "pride of ownership" and you'll get your answer.
Both are awesome cars, but it's best to make a rational decision. Yes, even in a car as "impractical" as the S, it should be a well thought out decision.
Just my 2 cents

I pulled away from an M3 hardtop on the 5 a few days ago. I started behind him at about 80, and pulled past him as we got into triple digit speeds. I shut down as soon as I had a fender on him, because we were going pretty fast, but point was made.
I had a ride in the M3 at a track day and the thing is a monster. Tons of power. The M3 would have almost 15kph on me by the end of the straight and with the DSP, and a novice driver, it was much more sure footed around the corners.
However, the fact that people are comparison shopping an M3 cab ($$$$$) with an S2K ($$) simply shows well for the Honda.
