Default S2000 a mid-engine car?

Just a thought. I think all mid-engine layouts, that I'm aware of, are located in the rear of the cockpit, between the two axles.

The S2000's engine is mounted in the front of the cockpit, but still between the two axles. Would this mean that the S is considered a mid-engine car? It makes sense that it would, to me.

People consider it a mid-engined car because of where our motor is mounted. It's just not a "traditional" mid-engine car.

That just raises the coolness level another notch for the S2000

the only similarity between a mid-engine car and the s2000 is their engines are both behind the front axle. but still, the s2000 is a front-engine car.

As long as the engine's between the axles it's mid-engined. In some circles the S2000 is referred to as "front mid-engined."

This is why I consider it "mid-engine."
