Default S2000 Mileage Question

I know Hondas deal with mileage very well, however what would you consider a lot?

I currently have the option to get a 2003 Silverstone s2k with 86k miles for around $12,000 or less. (Says its never been raced, but waiting to get more information)

However there is also a 2003 s2k with 30k miles for around $15,000. However the description is as follows:

"2003 HONDA S 2000 30K ORIGINAL MILES COME TAKE A DRIVE THIS CAR IS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS STREET LEGAL/RACE READY MINT IN & OUT 09 FRONT & REAR BUMPERS 09 HEADLIGHTS JDM MOTOR & TRANNY W/LESS THAN 10K MILES SPOON CLUTCH & FLYWHEEL ALL EMBLEMS SHAVED OFF INVIDIA TITANIUM EXHAUST 110 TIPS CUSTOM WIRE HARNESS COMES WITH JDM ECU & AMERICAN ECU BRAND NEW TIRES NEW OE BRAKES & ROTORS ***DUE TO HONDA RECALL HONDA REPLACED THE REAR END"

This makes me worry about the condition he kept it in. I also don't recall there being a 2003 recall...

Really looking forward to finding a good deal on an s2k so I can officially join the owners club!

Thanks!

Something about the second one just sounds fishy if its a 03 why dose it have AP2 front and back with head lights? (unless he just did it to do it i can understand) And "JDM MOTOR & TRANNY W/LESS THAN 10K MILES SPOON CLUTCH & FLYWHEEL" if i understand this correctly it has 30k miles on the body and the motor has been replaced with a JDM motor WHY?

I have a 03 with 100K+ miles runs like a champ ZERO problems just depends on how the car has been taken care of.

I second that.

I wouldn’t buy that has heavy mods. There should be no need to replace the motor ant transmission at 20k. It’s hard of r me to imagine someone would replace a basically brand new drivetrain just for the sake of going jdm.

I bought my 2005 with 95k miles....Runs beautifully. I would stick with the first one just by the sound of it.

Thanks for the replies.

The first one sounds like a pretty good deal depending upon what information and pictures he gives me later.
Better than most of the deals I've seen on here actually.

I figured the one with 30k miles was ruined by intense racing.
Its a shame to see someone ruin an s2000 so young though.

Stick to stock.

Even if it has been raced, it was within stock limitations. I spent all day in VTEC on the road course when my car had around 50K miles, was stock back then, I now have 216K on my 06, no problems.
