I know which ad your talking about. I spoke to him a month ago, The guys selling it is not even his car. Selling it for his friend or brother.

engine replaced, his excuse was because the jdm motor has more hp. ( i researched and found out its about less than 10hp.)<- whether its true , can't be sure.

The rear drive train was replaced. <- no idea why.

This pondered in my mind: when it comes down to fixing shit. if youre not on top of all the changes present from jdm vs usdm, then it's going to be one hell of a headache trying to fix stuff. IF THERE are actual differences from jdm vs usdm. hehe.

Based on the description I'd cross the second one off the list immediately. I wouldn't mind a few simple mods, or a car with with some extremely nice mods. That one sounds like it was hacked up by 'mad tyte JDM y0' teenagers though.

Yeah the JDM F20C has like 247hp do to higher comp pistons. Still i don't see this guy swapping out a whole motor just for that. But i think every 1 agrees pass on the second 1

My first rule with buying used cars is that I don't buy modified cars, unless the mods are very minor. I wouldn't even consider option #2.

High mileage S2000's don't scare me, the previous owners do sometimes though...

set your budget, then buy the car with the lowest mileage you can. stick to your guns and your perfect car will come along.

good luck

Buy one as close to stock as you can so you can be the one who gets to enjoy modding it
also option 2 scares me the JDM motor with 10k miles or w/e wtf? f20c is great why replace it with whatever he claims it is

The one with the higher miles sounds like the better buy. I wouldn't want to buy that second one because of the way he wrote the ad. All caps = meh.

As always, miles are just miles. The condition and maintenance/care of the car matter much more. The second one has a lot of red flags in my opinion.

Have you had either one inspected? Base your decision on that, not just what was typed up about the cars.

Same as any other car purchase. This isn't unique to the S or Hondas.

I would cross the second one off the list just cause the guy can't type without caps, haha
