Hey guys going to look at a 2001 NFR with 81,000 miles. He wants 9500 for it, I'm going to offer 8500 and see what he says. Anything to keep in mind when looking at a 9 year old car with 81,000 miles? Besides the obvious issues, top/leather/etc. im not exactly sure if there are any problem areas (suspension, seals, etc.)

Check bushings, CV boots, wheel hubs, make sure the diff doesn't whine/weird clicking noises from the rear, see if the valves are ticking/timing chain tensioner is bad... check for transmission grinds...

 

Well, the color is correct.

In addition to what's above, at some point I'd have the valve keepers checked for cracks (result of an overrev).

Sounds like a deal. I've got an 04 with 85K on there and it runs like a top. So I wouldn't expect much less.

The few extra years may play with rubber, but check over the usual stuff plus the top.

If you're really anal get the compression tested.
