S2000 not for me?

Do we have ap1 fanboys logging on to diss ap2s or something? From what you described 06 as bathtub, the car itself must've fcked up somewhat. And seriously, it's time to learn to punctuate.

I have ZERO issues in the rain.... even driving a little spirited. (no I dont normally but everyone said it had issues so I was seeing how it was)
Tires probably have 60% life left too....

I could be "touchy" about someone questioning my driving ability as I take much pride in my skill and ability....but as I haven't driven a RWD
2800lb. car with 240HP in a long time I might have been a bit aggressive!

Thanks all for feedback!
Mike21..I spend 25 days a month driving an 80' vehicle through most of
the biggest cities in this country...not to mention the Smokies...the
Appalachians...the Cascades...the Catskills....and just about any mountain
range in the US in my occupation as a nationwde mover.....

I can understand(and enjoy) the car getting a bit sideways while cornering..
just didn't expect it while going straight!!
Mark355....the '06 was just very slow...and just kinda felt like a "bathtub" in regards to cornering whereas the "02 and '03 felt light and nimble!

I don't know of too many RWD sports cars that won't break traction when you get on it in the rain. If you dislike this maybe you should take a peek at an AWD car.
As far as the 06 you drove sounds like something was wrong with it. It should deffinately not feel any slower than any of the other years you drove, maybe a bit different because it has the 8k redline vs. the 9k, but not slower. What do you mean by driving a "bath tub"

WOW!!
Drove an '06 yellow(ground effects....spoiler not wing) 2K today....
.....OMG!!
Awesome car..love it!
Just a great car...SO much better than the '03..the tranny was
precise...clean...perfect!
The noise was great....the drivetrain noise from the '03 was deafening..
but this car was racy but refined(a bit!).
Can't comment on wet weather as it was sunny in Daytona today....
but love this car!!
Please keep in mind...I come from a FWD backround for the last 15
years...and while the RWD I drive for work might put out 1300lb ft
of torque it's of course tempered by a lot of weight!
At 40 miles...beautiful yellow..ground effects..those great Honda
17"inchers....might have to pull the trigger for $19K!!
bgoetz..forget the Smokies...while you would probably smoke me
at autox....I just have a feeling you might be a bit unnerved driving
a big rig across the Goethels bridge then 278E for a romp through
Brooklyn then over to Queens for one of those very trying loading docks! lol
Or maybe blindsiding in Chicago to a dock from a VERY busy 2-way street..
of course you're doing this while having had 3 hrs of sleep over the past
72hrs.! wa wa!
Ckit...you r correct sir! no problem..the guy was right..I did push a bit!
bottom line....love the car....hope to join the community if ya'llcan
tolerate another newbie!
thanks for feedback!!

I wonder what was wrong with the first ‘06 that you looked at?
At least you found a better AP2 to test out.
AP1’s and AP2’s are both great cars.
You just have to keep in mind that there are bad examples of both in the used car market.
Good luck
