S2000 Paranoia
Cool, I'll probably take delivery today or tomorrow. If and when, I will post some pics to make it official. One thing I think is so funny is how is doesn't matter how many S's the members here have owned or seen everyone wants pics when someone buys one! I think it's awesome.
And just to mention, this board is so informative and fun. What a great support group if you do happen to need a little help. Thanks for all the replies.

...Of all the comments on our cars, I'd boil them down to a few major topics:
--#4 cylinder scoring. (Again 2000-2001 models only)
--#4 cylinder scoring. (Again 2000-2001 models only)

Alright, this one has me worried. What causes this? I have an 01 w/ 75,000 miles on it. How can I find out if I might have a problem w/ mine before the 100,000 mile warrenty runs out?
Thanks,
Warren

This scoring business "may" be linked to the spark plug loosening, which there was a recall for. It "may" also be linked to the oiljet bolt thing, for which the Europeans got a recall for. They got the newer 4 hole bolts to replace the 2 hole bolts.
In order to tell in you have any cylinder scoring, you'd have to "scope" each cylinder.
ps. Even on this topic, there were relatively few cars that had this compared to the overall number produced.
S2000 came first in the TOPGEAR customer satisfaction survey in 2004.

I am too glad to hear all the positive responds. I am now in the process of selling my 93' RX7 to buy the S. Talking about reliability issues...I just got a massive headache thinking about my RX7.....time for the extra strenge Tylenol ...extended relieve kind.
