Just wondering about what the total is that people get when parting out a stock S2000. What do AP1 engines go for today? What about AP1 trannys?

i think engines go from around $100 to $4500+/- depending on a few things.

as far as the car it self, if every part on it is ruined, like if it went through a crusher or something, you probably wont get much for it. on the other hand, if there is nothing wrong with the car and it has low miles and you are just parting out because you dont want to sell it as a whole car, you might get anywhere from 7k - 32k, again depending on the condition, miles, yr, etc...

just to recap, depending one what you have and the condition its in, you are looking at about $100-$32,000

Thats quite the price range. Lets say the car is a AP1 with 115,000. No front end body pieces but rest of car is in great shape.
