Could you clarify a bit.

1. Loose plugs-I thought this was a warranty item that should not be a problem.

2. Clutch replacement-After three years, you probably got more than most, including most BMW's & Porsche, others.

3. Oil bolt replacement-was this a warranty? If not, why did you do it on your own. The jury is still out on whether or not this does anything good or bad.

4&5. This one could have more to do with your driving style. Do you ever launch at high rpms.

One final question.

How much out of pocket expense has this cost you?

Hope things get better for you. Remember a car is a mechanical device things can go wrong. It sucks, but it can happen. Trade out if it is that bad your dealer should help you out if the circumstances are due to defects. The fact that it is a Honda, well The Titanic was not supposed to sink.

There have been more issues and problems with EVERY SINGLE first year car since the dawn of time. It's new and there are bugs to be worked out. Honda made revisions to the 2002 and 2003 cars to address a lot of the problems that people faced in 2000 and 2001. This is the price of being an early adopter. I am willing to bet that the 2007 RX-8 will be more relaiable than the 2004.

MY '02 here, 17,000 miles, no problems or issues, and I will be the first to admit I drive it hard on the street, in autox events and at the track.

No problems here. I think it is just your car. The S2000 does not suck and is not "a piece of sh*t."
