Just for fun, here were some of the cars I have been watching as well. No accidents for any of them.

An AP2 car all things being equal will bring 10% more than an AP1. If a car isn’t a 10/10 car it’s a car with a story. I know a beautiful 30k1-owner 10/10 car but it’s had both bumpers resprayed including spraying over the tags. It’s now a “story car”. I spoke with the guy, he’s beside himself how picky buyers are when you get over $30k when all he did was try to clean up some scratches. He’s frustrated it’s not selling and receiving only lowball offers. And it’s one owner, 30k miles.

I'm pegging your car closer to $25, just my 2 cents. GLSW.
This is exactly the way I shopped for my S2000. It took 18 months for me to find the one I wanted. It is very easy to say NO to a car, it is much harder to justify why X modification or issue is ok. The problem is with parts supplies waning and the knowledge base on the car disappearing to the mists of time; the market is segmenting into two groups - collectors and drivers. Collectors are looking for a darned near perfect, 100% stock car. Drivers will accept more defects or modifications. The problem is drivers have a lot of options at the price point you are seeking. There are a lot of 350-370Zs, scion/toyota 86s, WRXs, Miatas, heck even boxters or caimans available for less or parity. It could sell for decent money, but one has to find the right buyer. That can be difficult.

I second your thought there. I personally will walk away from a modified car most of the time. It depends on the owner. I never had intentions of selling the car. I love driving it & everything about it. Life changes though & I may need whatever money I can get out of it for other things. I knew modifying it would lessen the value & absolutely lost my shit over the 18 wheeler situation. When you plan on keeping it forever that stuff didn’t matter that much

And since I planned on keeping it, I tried to buy the highest quality mods that fit my needs. I didn’t need 600 horsepower. I just needed a bit more go, hence the SOS supercharger running a low pressure pulley. It allowed me to remain on stock clutch since it didn’t need replaced. When it does, if I end up keeping it, I’ll upgrade and maybe put more power down. The suspension was the same way. When I bought it, it looked like my highest quality option to me
