S2000 as a primary car?
Daily driver here. Love it!!!!! Live in Denver and came from a 98 convertable Cobra as a DD and like the Stook much better for daily driving.
Kinda miss the shear power of 305hp/300 torque, but get to the twisties and the big car is a gonner!!!
just another $0.02 worth.

Love my S2000 for my all around use. You just have to keep in mind that it is a small car, and there are some things you can't do with it... like take a lot of people or lugage. I still have my old truck if I need it though.
Thank you very much for all your input guys. This is a nice thread! It seems the majority of you (if not all of you) have a secondary car to use. I didn't mean as a daily driver but as your only car to own. I unfortunately due to the high insurance rates in NYC cannot afford to insure the s2k and a beater. The S2k is probably not bad in the snow since it's not a torque monster. I will try to go to a Honda dealership by where I live and see just exactly how practical it is. If it's not practical, then I guess I would have to get the Celica GTS which would not be disappointing. Both are really fast cars (I know the s2k is faster
).
How much per month are you guys paying. I am just trying to get an idea on how much I should put as a down payment. I'll be looking by the spring of next year. I am guessing a downpayment of at least 12,000 so my monthly payments would be under 400.
Thanks again everyone.

Mister2: As a fellow owner of a '93 MR2 (Turbo), I would highly suggest you consider the S2000. I couldn't imagine driving a car less exciting than the MR2....that's what the Celica is, IMHO. And from the many testimonials in this thread, I'm sure you'd agree that the s2k is even MORE exciting than your present car. The MR2 has been my daily driver for 8 years and I'm certain the s2k could be my dd for another 8 years. Every car I've owned has been faster and better handling than the one before...from a '72 VW kit car to a '74 X-1/9 to an '84 RX-7 to an '86 MR2 to an '88 MR2 to a '93 MR2 Turbo...I couldn't imagine settling for less than the MR2, and that's what you'd be doing if you purchase the Celica. I obviously love sports cars, Toyotas and RWD cars...and the s2k is the perfect choice in the succession of vehicles for me...and hopefully for you, too! Good luck in your decision, Mister2!
