Yes fresnel lens plus it has the different cutoff...
Sharpness can be improved with a clear lens. Sloping cutoff is permanent. Unless you make a custom shield.

 

Yeah, a clear lens such as the tsx-r or better yet, e30 lens would produce a very sharp cutoff. My 06 has a semi fresnel lens. If swapping the lens doesn't give you enough color, you could also color mod the s2000 projectors with some washers.

 

i was wondering why my 04 S seemed like it had better more cut light lines. now i have a 07 and its very noticeable how different they are

 

AP1's more notably 00-01 has the sharpest cut-out of any production vehicle is what I have read. So sharp that you'll catch a rainbow of colors.
