I was into the RC car hobby for a while.....just a quick note....to prevent the black tires from coming off the rim, use silicone glue/adhesive to firmly attach the tire to the rim, it won't come off no more unless you actually peel it off.

tamiya makes the best model bodies period. mechnically they are not the best, but if you dont hop up the motor, they can last a good long while without issue (just like real cars huh?)

regarding the tires, the instructions state you need to use CA glue (superglue) to stick the tire on the wheel. you just run a thin bead and they usually last a good while. if you use a thin enough bead you can rip the tire off when its too worn and remount new ones.

just like the real car, thi hooby can be addictive as well....i have 9 cars or so. yep i'm nuts...but hey they are a buttload cheaper than the real things !

p.s. you can also hop up the suspension etc with pretty neat parts.

you can get the tamiya s2000 kit for about $125. That does not include the radio, batteries, charger & speed control. Add another $200 for everything.
