i don't think this story holds any value to the true nature of the car's destiny... there hasn't even been an OFFICIAL press release on the next gen of the car anyways. until then, all speculation..

They prolly sell the My00 toward the end of the 1999 year, that is why. just like the 06 is coming toward the end of year 05.

The only way to arrive at "5 years" is to subtract 2000 ( first model year, at least in US ) from 2005 ( the only model year available in the dealerships ). Which is rather silly and not a mistake a head of Honda's R&D is likely to make. 6 years is much more like it. Wasn't it first released in September 1999?

I searched for his name in google, it gives lots of links to the July's article where he talks about putting V10 into an NSX, but there's no mention of S2000 anywhere.

they need to keep these pure sports cars manual transmission only, so the real and pure enthusiasts can be separated by semi-enthusiasts who can't even drive stick. i am really happy that the integra gsr only came in manual, or else i might still be driving automatic cars and thinkin that driving doesn't get any better than that. manual cars are a whole different realm IMO.....i dont care if lil paddle-shifter or tiptronics or smgs or dsg (or other tranny of the like) make the car shift faster, a real stick shift car is just much much more fun.

ye.

like i said, pure speculation.. it's probably his wishful thinking of what he wants but he can't get the boards approval for such a skewed concept of what the next gen should contain.

But I thought the S2000 was discontinued in 2001

Another Discontinue thread - you know what we do with these.
