yes the numbers are fairy close, but having driving both. They are completely different cars.

FWD/RWD
Hardtop/Convertable
4 seater/2 seater

The RSX doesnt feel as sporty as the s2000. The character and feel are totally differnet.

The RSX is alot more quiet car.

The RSX I-Vtec in think really tames the RSX down. Is fast but you don't really feel it. Not like the ITR and S2000 when going into vtec. I did not feel anything until 7000 rpm.

Interior trim looks incomplete. either add more metal or take out whats there. Little pieces everywhere just don't do it for me.

I like the shifter on the RSX but is not as short as the S2000. The RSX really needs an arm rest.

Overall. I like the RSX type S over the GSR but not the ITR. They really need to bring the RSX type R here.

just my 2 cent.

Just goes to show that numbers lie. If that was your only criteria, you'd be driving a Kia.

IMHO, the RSX sucks compared to the S2000. I am not at all impressed with the power levels or the new design.

Anyone seen that weird new Civic SI with the Shifter coming out of the dash instead of the floorboard!!!!

FREAKY.

[B]RSX made in America, S2k made in Japan hence the higher cost.

Perhaps, but when I was comparing cars to replace my GS-R, the two options in front of me were RSX-S and S2000. Even if they are different fruit, nothing else (affordable) comes close to either.

The single biggest reason I went with the S2k over the RSX was that I didn't want to pay $27k (sticker) for a Civic lookalike; instead, I paid $29k for a used S2k. Of course, after having driven an S2k for 6 mos, there's no way I'll consider buying a FWD 4-seater "sports car" again

Hmmm tough crowd.
First of all, I love the stook and will always consider it the best car I have ever owned. But you guys are too defensive. God, "Glorified Civic"?? I THINK NOT! If you ever driven one you would not say that. It out handles, out brakes, and out accelerates the old integra. It is 10K cheaper than the stook. So comparing them is not a fair assesment. I went to a dealership in NJ last weekend and they were selling it for MSRP $23K and change. You just cant compare the two. And it is STUNNING when it has the OEM front lip, side skits, and the wing. I always thought that the new integ was ugly until I saw these add ons.

i must say, you guys are pretty harsh. yes, they are two completely different cars and i wouldnt trade my s2k for even a 996 but come on, the rsx is not that bad. for those of you that like the wrx, why do you like it better? because its faster? because its got more potential? ya ever heard of refinement? the rsx is silky smooth to drive and it handles amazingly. i personally also think it looks better than the old integra too. i also think the type r body kit is gorgeous.
but my opinion doesnt really mean much considering i also love the new mini
