S2000 and RSX Type S Comparison
hello???
There IS more than one good car made in the world... the s2000 is not the end all for everyone. I own my s2000, I sold an integra to get it, but the rsx, type s or not, is still a great car. I have driven it and yes it is different as already noted, but then again, it is for a different consumer than the s2000. I know many race teams that for 2002 are making their new race cars out of the "glorified civic". I'll have to pass that name onto them, they'll love it...BTW...did everyone like the 3rd gen integra when it came out?

Actually... hehe, I did like the 3rd gens when they first came out. It was very unique looking with it's 4 round headlamps and it did look sporty to me at the time. But even then, I thought they were glorified or more expensive Civic's. And when I say Civic, I mean the Si model. Although the interior and exterior are quite different in the Integra and Civic, the underpinnings/motors were/are very similar. This is why I call the RSX a glorified Civic, or should I say glorified Si, the 02 Si hatch is setup much like the RSX, just like the previous Si compared to the Integra. No need to get all upset over that label, Civic's are pretty good cars too.. AND there are also teams that make race cars out of actual Civics as well so
well, my friends team won the championships with civics in 2001 and will be racing with rsx's in 2002. you can imagine all the parts they are going to be making for the rsx, just like the previous integras. I'm hoping to get a three car garage so I have place for a nice rsx type r, 4runner and my s2000. wishful thinking, I know...
I understand where you are going with this post. Many S2000 owners, myself included, "stepped-up" to the S2000 from an Integra. This transition is logical for many reasons--both made by Honda, powerful VTEC engines, double bones, etc. From the perspective of what an Integra owner might trade-up for, comparing the S2000 to the RSX Type S makes a lot of sense. Even though they are inherently different cars, they both share the same bloodlines and are in some ways alike enough to invite comparisons.
