S2000 search is fruitless
If u are looking for an S2000 and are close to the East Coast, Florida has the 2nd most in the country after Cali. Plenty of garage queens, bone stock versions available. Check the Orlando, Miami and Tampa Craigslist. At least 20 will pop up. Right now, not as many are for sale within a 300 mile radius on Autotrader.com. But 2 months ago there was 55+ within a 300 mile radius. Keep your eyes on Florida.

And start looking harder when fall hits. Nobody's selling their for-fun convertibles in springtime... But come september, you see a bunch show up on the market.
I went to a local credit union today and their rates weren't great, but most credit unions look the same around here.
They said if the NADA "Clean Trade-In" value doesn't exceed the asking price they won't be able to finance the car. The NADA trade-in price is 9,150 for an 02 with 91K.
Private sellers are asking 2 to 3 thousand over 9,100 for 2000-03.
How in heck am I supposed to get a loan for this car?
Or, will they give me the NADA value and then I will have to come up with the rest of it?

I'm guessing you'll have to put in cash for the difference maybe? I'm still searching for my perfect S2000, and decided that I only want a laguna blue one, or a GPW with red or black interior. I won't settle for less, no matter what, even if it takes 2 more years of searching.
I did a nationwide search on Autotrader.com and there was I believe around 20 GPW's for sale nationwide. They really aren't that hard to find, if u make distance a non-issue. If your only willing to drive 2 counties over, you are going to be waiting a long time.

If you have a bank that you have done business with over an extended period of time and have borrowed money and made payments on time, this bank would probably be your best bet. Depending but it is even possible that the rates would be better for you at your hometown bank versus the credit union. Check with your bank and GL.
