I caught a bit of a show on Spike this morning.
They were showing the Super Flea Challenge.
The 2001 Comptech S2000 won with a wide margin (over 4 seconds).
Other top entrans were the 450HP WRX and another car (I forget now)

Anyone else caught this?
Was it a repeat?

P.S. They quoted the price of the souped up S at $60+K

 

It was on car & driver tv. The wrx had 450 hp but a burnt out clutch. The runner up car was the Millen Lancer Evo, and the winner was the comptech s2000. It was a short piece, only like 4 minutes long.

 

Yeah, I saw that - cool stuff. Any idea what exhaust the S2000 was running? I don't remember the normal Comptech exhaust being that loud. And I'm curious what they did to the car that cost $28k for performance upgrades?

Also, they mentioned that the EVO had the fastest 1/4 mile, fastest infield, and best braking... So home come the S2000 got a better overall time?

 

Yeah, I am still surprised that the S2k won considering that it wasnt the fastest car of the group but it was the most expensive car by a long shot. i guess for bargain power you got to go turbo

I dunno if the s2k was the most expensive there, they said the Cobb WRX cost about $85,000 altogether...
