Actually, it is not made of tinanium at all. It is made of nickel and some other matals. I don't recall exactly. It is kind if heavy as well. It does look real nice though I have one for my 92 NSX. FYI, Honda/Acura stopped providing that key for the newer NSX's with the immobilizer chip (97+).

What's up guys! I just signed up on this sight so noone knows who I am yet but I wanted to ask for some help if I could. Today I was driving my 02 S with about 730 miles on her. I was cruising at about 80 and came up to a stop light. While I was downshifting the RPM's were up there around 7 or 8k. I think I downshifted into 4th but may have hit 2nd and when I let out the clutch it was like she was in neutral but I know I had it in gear. When I left from the light everything was fine and she shifted like normal. I was wondering if there was something wrong with my tranny? Or if there is a safety over rev switch or something to keep you from banging the rev limiter if you downshift into too low of a gear? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know what this has to do with the thread. But I would check everything to make sure if it's ok.

I believe if you downshift and over rev there is no protection and you can blow up your engine as with any car.

Advice, invest in a driving school.

Titanium can be ground fairly easily with the right grinding media. I use titanium as the liners in the custom knives I make. The dust is very bad for your lungs though. I wear a respirator whenever I grind it.

It can be drilled and tapped with standard HSS bits and taps. I use 0-80 screws in most of my stuff. They are one size larger than an eye-glass screw and can be had in countersink, allen head and torx configurations. I even have some that are gold plated. Maybe the key designed with a small cover to hold the imobilizer would work with something like these screws.

As a side note you can anodize the titanium quite easily into many differant colors. Gold, blue and purple are just a few of the colors possible.

If you are interested in discussing any of this email me. You will have to go through my site to email me www.adwcustomknives.com as for some reason email in my profile is turned off or something and I do not know how to change that at the moment.

It may take me a while to get back to you because of work requirements but I'll help you any way I am able to.
