KEY KEY..I'll absolutely take one. forget sourcing the fricking chips, if we can't all cut our keys apart to get the stock one.....
(I'm just saying, don't let that stand in your way).
Where to put the chip, that might be the problem.
Just have a group buy on Mugen ECU's + Titanium Key, no immobilizer.. =)

that statement is sorta unclear. If you use cheapo titanium yes you can grind it, if you use high grade japanese titanium, you cannot grind it easily, it takes a certain machine to grind titanium.
cutting titanium is not fairly easy.

Actually, it is not made of tinanium at all. It is made of nickel and some other matals. I don't recall exactly.

I guess if you consider $60.00 a square foot "cheapo" then yes it is cheap. I use 6AL4V which is commonly used in the aircraft industry. It is wear resistant and durable stuff. And as I said previously it can be worked with HSS cutters. I grind it with ceramic and silicon carbide medias.

6AL4V is composed of the following elements:

Weight % Ti-bal C-0.08 Fe-0.05 N-0.05 Al-5.5/6.75 O-0.20 V-3.5/4.5

I'm curious what the composition of the Japanese stuff is and what makes it superior.
