I've done 147 before. Feels like the car is floating. Very scary!

 

148 MPH, top down, passenger, 1/2tank of fuel, oem AP2 lip, strakes, and wing spoiler with 4+ other S2000s. I was pretty near redline but the car was extremely stable.

There's a couple boosted ones running higher gears. Look at the S2k specs Look at the tires that come with the car. They're W rated not Z That means top speed safely on the tire is 185mph. Then go look at a boxster, they run the same tire but in a lower Z rating.

S2000's can stretch right out there but where's there? Not around here anyway. I know I could peg it but I'm not going to.

PS I don't think there's a fixed drag limit barrier you hit. Probably should check your compression. If there is, I've never felt it.

Jim Knapp holds 3 or 4 landspeed records with a stock ap1 motor. They're up around 260mph or so in his landspeed car.
