I am not mistaken, I don't believe top speed will increase due to power. Isn't this gear based?
he's just messin around bc thats what his car is runnin. if he didnt change his gears, we'd both do 168 or watever, he'd just get there way before me.

the top speed is dictated by both gearing and power. The S is drag limited meaning that the force of the air (among other things) at top speed is what limits the car from going any faster. Having a top speed that is gear limited means you're hitting redline at top speed. Being gear limited negates the power the car is putting out, at that point it's just changing how fast you get to top speed.

I have seen 151 on mine, and i can honestly say I will never have the desire to do that again. I am not a big fan of fast in a straight line anyway. Id rather hot up a nice twisty road.

I have only hit 135. IMO, it doesn't feel stable enough for me to want to push it further. It doesn't feel as connected to the road as I'd like it to be. although I'm comparing it to my previous M3's.

Sorry, someone had told me before they were drag limited.. I stand corrected.

146 near the top of 5th in my ap1 and that was stock. i'm not sure exactly what rpm cuz i was watchin tha road in tunnelvision. ran out of road then had to jam the brakes down in order to make it around the upcomming curve. there aren't any roads around here long enough to really push it in 6th... i can vtec in 6th but as soon as i do, it's usually time to slow down due to curves or traffic...
