130 MPH tonight (in fifth gear) on the lonely interstate...I could have taken it higher but I was worried about possible police prescence.
S2000-Europe, believe that you can make more speed with the S
My S is stock and my top speeds are:
With top Down = 258Km/h = 160,4mph (8.300 RPM)
With Top Up = 268km/h = 166,7mph (8.800 RPM)
i believe it is impossible to go faster in both situations, unless you are descending.
All the best

Why do people say that the speedometers are inaccurate at higher speeds in our cars??? I recently took a road trip from Vancouver, Canada back home to San Antonio, Texas in my S2000 and while travelling through White Sands, New Mexico, I opened it up a little bit. It was a perfectly flat road with NO trees, no NOTHING around me, and at 115mph on my speedometer, the handheld GPS I had with me read exactly 115mph as well. My car is a 2002 model, bone stock, with stock S-02's and it had right at 10k miles on the odometer (still on the factory original tires).
157 top up windows up and still pulling, just got nervous. To all the tree huggers, this was on a bridge that is divided by concrete thingies, and no cars on the bridge, or 3 miles after it.
