I agree will all of you, and as a side note, after the TSB's 1-2 shifts like "butter" before it was VERY notchy
to me the difference is amazing.

I just love it -- I have nothing to complain about what-so-ever! I feel like this car was designed for me and no one else -- oh, I forgot about everyone else here -- I meant to say it was designed for all of the enthusiast on S2000online!

I don't even have any gripes with the plastic rear window -- yeah, a glass with defroster would be nice -- and heavier -- yet I would hate to think how the top design would have to change. I love the look of the car with the top up -- I have gotten many comments about how it looks aggressive.

And from a RWD, 240hp, 9000 rpm perspective -- this car wasn't designed for pu$$ies!!! (Sorry about the foul mouth so early in the AM -- just call it like it is!)

No teanie weenies -- take it to the red!

"Let me clarify my statement. My reference to "the whiners" was directed at the group, albeit small, that complain of such trivial items as no clock, the tacky carpeted center console, notchy shift feel, etcetera, etcetera. these should have been obvious before the car was purchased. To complain about it now is, in my book, whining."

You can thank those who feel that the carpet covered console looks like Honda used an old Motel 6 towel with a 30 thread count for Rick's beautiful leather center console covers. Personally, I stuck a Brookstone indiglo back lit digital clock on the radio cover. Who would expect a notchy shifter from Honda? Most first year buyers never even got to test drive the S2000, and if they did, they probably figured the shifter would work itself in with use and the notchiness would go away. More than a few folks are disappointed by the car's lack of low end torque. It just rankles me when I read someone characterizing those with criticism of the S2000 as "whiners." The car is terrific and in my opinion there's nothing else like it out there. But this forum is where we can discuss the pros and cons of the car. It's not required that we all line up and worship or risk being characterized as whiners.

I am getting a little tired of the whining myself. Although well intentioned, the "upsets" seem to overshadow the true nature of this machine (anyone else notice the way I juxtaposed nature and machine??). The car has a soul of a cheetah and loves to be driven but it is still a machine created by man. In no way will it be perfect. Ever try to put together over 5,000 (quessing here) parts...BY HAND!!! The transmission is a direct link type and lends itself to more feedback hence a notchy feel...well duh! It ain't a Lexus!! Quit yer yapp'n and get your gums a flap'n with a dose of 146mph, top down, wind in your hair driving excitement found no where else on this planet at this price point!! That is all...

ROFL....go get'em Mark!!!!

You folks are going about it all wrong. Use reverse Psychology.
The car is a piece of crap, handles like a suburban, power like a volkswagon beatle, comfort of a school bus. Don't buy one, you'll hate it.
There now maybe everyone that wants one will go buy something else, Honda will stop making them and I will own what only a select few can have. Only a select few will know the joy of a 4-wheel drift at 100 mph in total control.
We don't need to defend our pride and joy.
