Apologies if this is a repost from long ago, but I found this paragraph interesting....

"While the people who had previously played with new filters had thought that they were onto something, as we've shown time and time again at AutoSpeed, it almost always works better if the factory filter is retained and a new cold air intake duct placed into the airbox. And that's just what Chris Romano did, removing an internal baffle in the box, leaving the standard over-bonnet intake in place and adding large diameter convoluted tube picking up air in front of the radiator. And the power responded again, rising to a rousing 195hp at the wheels, a further improvement of 8hp."

This led me to think that taking out those baffles inside the stock box and routing some hose from the radiator area to the inlet might make similar results. I'm thinking of experimenting this weekend following a trip to Home Depot for some goods. Not the most asthetic approach, but worth $20 in parts just for the fun of trying to see what I can come up with while waiting for the redesigned Comptech.

Anyone's .02?

I haven't seen too much reported on that here. Sounds like a worthwhile endeavor. Let us know what happens if you go through with it.

I may be wrong but I seem to recall earlier posts on this board that pretty much concluded that the claims made are doubtful.
