it's just a 08 GPW with the standard Red seats and some accents with a number plate....=/other then the fact that it has a F20C it doesn't seem very ultimate...

Wrong - AP1 & AP2 are chassis codes, F20C & F22C are engine codes. All '04+ S2000's are AP2 regardless of which engine was stuffed in them.
I know F20C/F22C are engines codes. As Saki GT mentioned, this has been discussed before, example here: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry6282429 which seems to back me up with S2000 with an F20c should be considered an AP1 whereas any S2000 with a F22c should be considered an AP2. If there was a thread with further clarification, or if someone knows if european vin's specify AP1 or AP2, I would be very grateful for this information.

Back on topic: The car is hardly the ultimate edition...but I guess it is still better than the RJ edition which was an even bigger joke.

I was wondering that too - especially since it employes a lot of people there. More hybrids maybe?

So lame. I was hoping they would finally do something new and good with this car before it is gone. Just stuck a badge on it and a numbered plate. Booo to Honda for this one!! Should have atleast improved SOMETHING with this "Ultimate Edition"

Trust us, AP2 is the chassis - all S2000s since 2004. We had Euro folks clarify this in the past too - don't confuse the car with the engine, especially since there was much more that changed than a simple engine swap. I myself was confused in the past about this, but we finally figured it out - however, the engine stamping may say AP1, which may be what you're thinking of?

And 'ultimate' pretty much sums up this car if you go by certain definitions - its the last gasp of the S2000.

hmm after looking at it for a bit, I guess I wouldn't mind having one either. I mean fact is I don't have a s2k period =P, reminds me of the Type R series, the white and red scheme. even if it's not championship white. Personally I think Platinum and GPW looks alot better then championship

Well, if you're in Germany and you finally get an option to buy GPW, it would be a big deal, like us finally getting Imola here in the States.
