the only reason it has an F20 is they only use F20 motors over there. if they had F22's i bet it would have that motor.

this proves that the F20 is better since it is used in the Ultimate S2000.....Honda has finally ended the looong argument on this site as to which is better. Thank you Honda for putting an end to this .
That argument ended when the S2000's designer said the AP2 was better. .

Thew real reason this is the ultimate is the GPW paint of course.

I wish they do something like this for the US but more added stuff. or maybe a Type-S I have been thinking if i get a good deal i might trade my in for an 09 but i like having $271 payments.
Better yet, TYPE-R version w/ retuned engine and additional weight reduction / bucket seats / aerodynamic enhancements would be nice...

you can't improve perfection
What does that statement have to do w/ a discussion about the S2000?

i guess this is the ultimate s2k in Europe. See, the problem with the original F20 was the fact that Americans dont like to wait for 9k to roll around.

yea, the same HP at an earlier RPM and more TQ is definitely less superior.

I think I would've appreciate an American version 'Ultimate' with the CR chassis/suspension and the F20 engine.

It would be a big enough change to make an 'upgrade' a decision for me. I feel I could aftermarket everything the CR currently offers.

On a different note, I'm actually glad Honda didn't go all miata and turbozize the final s2000. Yes, I could be wrong but it seems few folks are actually thrilled by mazda's FI on the mazdaspeed miatas.

Sometimes I feel the s2000 is too quick for most of its drivers as it is.
