Thew real reason this is the ultimate is the GPW paint of course.
...it allows the new owner to easily paint the car any desired COLOR.

On a different note, I'm actually glad Honda didn't go all miata and turbozize the final s2000. Yes, I could be wrong but it seems few folks are actually thrilled by mazda's FI on the mazdaspeed miatas.
Sometimes I feel the s2000 is too quick for most of its drivers as it is.

They could have just brought europe the Type-S or CR version. They kind of got shafted on this one.

The AP1/AP2 designation seems to have been used inconsistently from one market to the next. In the USDM it designates cars with the F22C and the chassis and driveline upgrades. Outside the USDM and JDM it's pretty confusing.
It isn't exactly true that ALL S2ks after '04 were AP2. The JDM AP2 with the F22C engine was introduced in late '05 and sold as '06 and later models. In late '03, the JDM AP1-130 got the exterior upgrades like the '04 USDM and EDM S2k but still retained the F20C.
