for $30k+ I'd a bought the new Mustang GT (flamesuit on)
Not really sure why anyone would flame you for that. Ford's stepped up their game hugely with the 2011 GT. 412 HP naturally aspirated, great gas mileage, and great track performance even with the live axle. When a 30k car puts up M3 numbers, there's not very much to hate. If I were in the market for a pony car, I'd get one in a heartbeat.

[QUOTE=WolfpackS2k,Oct 6 2010, 08:00 PM]I can assure you the Accord does not have more front end grip than an S2000.

How so? Grip is a function of the size of the contact patch, the coefficient of friction, and weight.

With a 60/40 weight distribution on a 3200 pound car, the weight resting on the Accord's front wheels alone is about 2/3 the weight of an entire S2000. Add to that the fact that the Accord rests on 225 rubber vs an AP2's 215, and physics say you've got the recipe for more grip given the same tire compound.
accord actually rolls on 235, 45's stock

my bad i meant electrically assisted steering vs the hydraulic variable gear in the accord's steering... was not trying to imply that the s2000 was not rack and pinion, just that it is electrically boosted

yeah on hind sight for over $30k there are better performance cars new sti sedan, 370z, mustang gt...

...still i prefer the accord, i must be getting old

I dig the new Accord coupe. Did you get the automatic or 6 speed manual?
