Default S2000 vs. 2006 Civic Si

hey so i have about 20k to spend on a car. i was all set to get a used s2k but now that this new civy si is coming out, i could get a brand new one of those for the same price. has anyone driving the si yet? how does it compare to the s2k? I would be saving a few grand and getting a new car....

If you need practical -- Civic Si.

If you want pure, unadulterated fun, get the S2k.

I've driven alot of cars -- and the S2k is one of the most fun cars you can buy. Period. Not the quickest, fastest -- but man it puts a silly smile on your face.

thats not even a question... of course the S... one year down the road, you will have a car that everyone has... the S will still be a car that everyone wants!

S for fun, Civic for practicality and slightly less fun.

If you have that much money saved up, invest most of it in something that will appreciate and take 1000 of it for fees and lease a new 2005 or 2006. (I am a big fan of leasing)

The new Si doesn't do it for me. Actually, none of the Si's have been on my "considering to buy" list. I'd rather get an (used?) RSX-S before the Si.

The S and the Si are not even remotely in the same class. The performance level of the S will far out-do the Si. Not too practical, though. Plus, the maintenance on the S will be considerably more than the Si.
