WHO CARES? You buy a car because YOU like it. You drive it every day...I could care less if a 350Z owner said my S2k is slow and ugly or vice versa...Id just tell them the off...

but i personally like the s2k more, 350 seems too piggy, i would prefer the lighter, quicker s2k

s2000 = pure drivers car for the select few.
350z = mass market to please the masses and production #s show it. There are a lot more of them and us which is probably why these threads keep popping up.

This battle will never go away there is countless threads on this topic. An edge does goes to the s2000 barely on performance, handling def goes to s2000. Looks are subjective but a sexy convertible roadster in silverstone metallic = chick magnet and tons of attention.

An important factor in all of this when it really comes down to is reliability everyday wear and tear. I have heard 350z owners bitch in person about this transmission and that tire feathering etc.

S2000 is a honda with honda reliability with that oh so sweet transmission and shifting

In the end who gives a shit, they're both cool cars. I did mass research on both since it did come down to those two in the end. In the end I'm very happy I picked the s2000 over the 350z.

They're both nice cars but completely different beasts with differnent pros and cons. I used to have an Audi S4 that was chipped to run 300+ HP/350 ft-lbs and it was a completely different car from my wife's 996 C2. The Audi had gobs of low end torque, had a quiter ride, was a nicer cruiser, but didn't handle as well, weighed 500lbs more, had a weak top power band, and was harder to shift fast in. I test drove my friends 350Z (intake and exhuast mods) a few months ago. It's a nice car but I personally prefer the S2000. Although not a perfect comparison, the 350Z is to the S2000 as the Audi S4 is to the 996. It's nice to have both at the same time.

- well, I would like some truth to "which one is faster"

- I own an S and im not convinced that the s2000 is 'faster' freeway running/street running) then the Z

- I read the 'street encounter' forum, but it seems like no one ever loses

You want the truth?....Ive driven both and have alot of seat time.

They are equally as fast, given the same driver and same test conditions. The s2k is definately harder to get a perfect launch compaired to the 350. If driven right, the s2k will be bumper to bumper with the 350.... there is no winner or loser..its all about the driver...

Yup, but the S "feels" faster for some reason. Maybe because it's louder, or maybe because it's none linear power. I like to FEEL faster
