For all those who have a G35...I raced one on route 80 west thru the sugar fields of western West Palm Beach. Not only did I beat this kid's pants off, I won $100. to boot. Oh yeah, one more thing, I'm 56 years old. Have fun, go SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS2000.

I test drove a G35 coupe before I ordered my '04 S2000. They didn't have a 350 z to drive except for a roadster in the showroom. I must say that the torque was good, the shifting was a good close ratio short throw but the ride was a little too soft. No where near the S, by comparison. I'm sure the track pack Z would have been better but... there are enough posts on this argument. The exhaust note was throaty but my money is going to Honda just for this reason; It's as close to a race car feel as I have ever driven since taking the Jim Russell Racing School Quebec, Canada!

both are great cars. s2000 is definitely not faster in terms of acceleration. i was chasing my dad one day (my g35 was automatic, he has an S2000) and i couldnt catch him, but he didnt leave me either. G35 is more floaty and feels like a big car. is not as connected as s2000 as it is more posh and luxury. g35 is a wonderful, WONDERFUL everyday car. having both cars was a pleasure, more of a pleasure than when i had my Evo and my dad had the S2000. the G35 and S2000 actually complement each other great.

U mean the race where the s2k finished about 3 seconds back of the 350z that was modded w/ nismo oil cooler and nismo pads? that race was one of the WORST ones i've ever seen from best motoring, honestly...that is the only thing i'll ever say i give them a thumbdown for. 1) racing a modded 350 against stock m3, s2000, boxter and another car 2) racing the s2000 and the boxter (though the boxster hadn't the slightest chance) w/ their tops down? talk about a handicap. does anyone have the % of acceleration that you lose w/ top down? 3) the r34 pace car? that was the honestly the reason the s2k didn't win the race. the r34 wasn't really a pace car, i think it was honestly in their, for a purpose....to ensure that the 350z one. Gan-San complained a lot, about the r34 being in the way, which it was...it prevented him from passing the last few laps. ANYWAYS, i'm done venting...i get a lil rilled up about this because my brother is as diehard nissan as i am honda. and just like a manufacturers rivarlry, we have a brotherly rivalry too.

but anyways, back to the subject of the post...s2k hands down anyday.
