Probably in October.. The only things that interests me on the '04 is the front bumper. I can't wait to see how it looks.

The '04s should hit showroom floors in September.

Oh my bad Even_In_A_Spa, guess you'd already replied. Sometime around September/October then.

Say it ain't so Joe!

While it's too early to say for sure what the 2004 will end up being, I do have faith in Honda. Even if the redline is slightly lowered to say 8500, I'm sure the character of the car will remain the same.

I was looking at buying an S2000 in july this year before the news surfaced of a new model for 2004. I am going to wait simply because Honda have always strived to up the ante when it comes to producing ever more powerful, small displacement engines. Part of the design ethos for the S2000 was to produce an engine with a higher specific output than had previously been produced: going from 108 ps/ltr (integra type r) to 120 ps/ltr for the s. Bearing in mind the advance in technology over the last five years and that the K series could easily be shipped from the factory with 250 ps+, I think it's likely Honda will try and up the ante again...

I guess this means that for 2004, Honda is relinquishing the title of highest hp/l of any Naturally Aspirated production car. That tile will now go the the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale.

FORZA!!!

This may not a good comparison but here it goes anyway. I used to have an old Corvette (1969) and belonged to a Corvette Club in Massachusetts. The Club was alot of fun and very interesting because of all the different generations. Some cars were famous for some things and others were not. But we all had the same thing in common: WE ALL OWNED CORVETTES. Couldn't we apply the same theory here...and just have fun? There will always be evolution.

Maybe the fact that I haven't been able to pick mine up yet is a blessing in disguise. New model coming out and the cold season coming with it. It's a shame that Honda came out with such a great car and now they're going to flush all of that down the toilet just to try and sell more which I don't think they will, but I think it will be the other way around and they won't sell them. Another Civic Si in the making.
