Its a good idea. But the S2000 CR, this is a near perfect car from the factory. Let me give some advice, spend the time on/with the wife instead.
I drive a base s2000 not a CR...

Why is it an ass move? I can care less about household stuff, if its not broken don't fix it. Family and females would never buy autoparts. That only leaves my guy friends and I figure I would probably only get 3 or 4 items at best off of this list so no harm done.

We registered at Sears (and another department store) which worked out well for me. It's a lot easier to justify because they also have a housewares department with all of the usual wedding gift stuff.

My wife's friends bought the plates, silverware, etc, and my friends went with the torque wrench, socket sets, etc.

It might be worth considering as a compromise if you can't convince your fiance of the genius of your plan.

Or just cancel the wedding and make her buy you all the parts?

Its working out for me so far.

But as to what you're talking about - you'd really be better off just doing a cash envelope collection box thing like at some weddings/receptions.

Something about a modifying little 2 seater sportscar and a wedding doesn't usually mix with most people. Family members will probably have the mindset of marriage...babies....trading car for a minivan... and they will frown on giving you parts, let alone money for them.

Hahahahaha!!!

Unbelievable. Congratulations on having absolutely ZERO class. Your marriage is doomed before it even gets started. Maybe you should marry your car instead.
