USA and Canada cars use smaller containers: USA 2.6lt, Canada 4.2lt.

Here are the things I have done so far to reduce weight:

Remove 8 gallons of gas 48lbs
Remove right seat 35lbs
JDM wheels and Michelin Cup tires 34lbs
Remove spare tire 25lbs
Remove tool box 7lbs
Remove washer fluid 5lbs
Remove floor mats and visors 2lbs
Remove cruise control 2lbs

Total 158lbs

Next on the list is a light weight exhaust and stereo removal for maybe 35-50lbs more.

I have installed or on order the following:

Amuse Dual R1 Ti catback exhaust = 35 lbs. saved.
Spoon header = 6 - 8 lbs. saved.
Regamaster Evo 16" wheels = 26 lbs. saved.
Pinnacle Brake system w/ "wave" rotors all around = 26 lbs. saved
No spare or tools = 32 lbs.

Not sure if I'll change the seats, but that would save another 30 plus pounds.

I won't go w/ the CF doors, hood, trunk lid, even though that would save better than 80 lbs. - just WAY too costly.

Need to shave 20 lbs. or so off my gut/butt.

EDIT: Forgot about the Star "lightweight" pressure plate. Can't recall exactly how much it saved, but I did weigh it and I think I recall that it was about 4 lbs. lighter. Also forgot about the OEM locking lug nuts (one on each wheel). I kept the "key" in the car in case of a flat and I have to call somebody to fix it out on the road. Wouldn't do much good if they couldn't get the wheel off So that adds a few ounces.

Wow, are the Cups that much lighter than stock (thinking around 4# each)? The Kumho 255 17" is 27#.

Factory 5-spoke (cast Enkei) wheels 17.8/18.8lbs
JDM 6-spoke (forged BBS) wheels 13.2/14.2lbs

On my scale the savings was about 8lbs per front, 9lbs per rear.
Though I never weighed mine, I believe Mike's numbers. Less weight is good, but less spinning weight at a large radius is even better. This is a large part of why Hoosiers are better than Kumhos for autocross - the few pounds at 16" and larger radius adds up to a big HP difference. Unfortunately my Michelin PSCs ended up dying an untimely death due to road debris (nails) as opposed to cording themselves, much like a street-driven Hoosier would.

When I was 17 I remember using a turkey baster to empty out the contents of my CRX's washer fluid reservoir in high school shop class. Those were the days...

these days, if you want to be light, the secret is those carbon fiber hood rods...

Do you always have 7 liters of windshield washer fluid handy?

Are those the 6-spoke JDMs? If so, how much did you pay for them (if you don't mind my asking) and from where/whom did you get them?

Yes, about $1800 from MG Racing.
