Factory 5-spoke (cast Enkei) wheels 17.8/18.8lbs
JDM 6-spoke (forged BBS) wheels 13.2/14.2lbs

On my scale the savings was about 8lbs per front, 9lbs per rear.
Nice, Mike! Do you think the performance advantage with lightweight 16" wheel with lighter tire offsets more tire on the road, i.e. 17" 255 rear?

On the exhaust, I've decided to cut the stock exhaust in front of the y-split and weld in a flange so that I can reinstall when necessary. I found a shop that will do the work later this week. I figure that this should save more than 40lbs. Also, I'm sure the radio won't be audible so I figure I'll get rid of those heavy speakers for a few pounds more.
On this note, what is the lightest weight performance street tire?

I think Hoosiers are lighter but they have a reputation for not lasting long on the street.

Here are some light weight add ons that I use:

Spoon titanium radiator stays----grams
15 lb battery with a nylon battery strap-----------------14 -15 lbs
Comptech under car frame brace ( front and back)--3 lbs
Blue light weight water pump pulley-------1 lb
I have a shop that will make me some large titanium frame bolts but they are just too expensive for the weight savings.
I run a total of about 101 lbs lighter than stock but will get the Pinnacle brake system.

My shop did the exhaust cut today. 40lbs off plus a sports car sound for $75. So the total loss is now 198lbs. Actually I think it is more due to the Ohlins but I forgot to weight them first before the installation.

You could also go the option of a bolt on single exhaust for an occasional half way solution to weight/noise. If you do, please post what muffler you choose.

Your ohlins may not be lighter than your stock shocks.
What kind of Ohlins do you have?
