Now I know Prolene apparently had a different experience with sizing... but I found the length of the belt needed to bypass the AC is 45.0".

I'm afraid the math in that article is not complete and not correct... he's on the right track execpt that he incorrectly derives his term for force (F).

FCGuy,

Those are pretty old, the post I made actually calculated required wheel torques to accelerate a wheel of mass x in each gear using an assumed MoI. I used my CRX as an example since I had the wheel weights, tire weights, torque curves, etc. Maybe its in the archives, I'll have to look.

My other piece is about 6 years old and not technical at all :-)

I am about to remove the passenger SRS bag, tensioner, belt, roll bar and trim. What effect will an electrical disconnect of the bag and tensioner on the passenger side have on driver side SRS operation?

I may have to stop. Too much speed. Hemorrhoids.

With a resistor bypass I was able to preserve driver-side SRS.

Remove right belt and tensioner -4
Remove right airbag -6
Remove right roll bar -7

Man, you are on a roll. That's the most comprehensive list of weight-savings I've ever seen!
