Eh, I can relate to that sentiment, I guess. Don't necessarily think it'll happen, but... then again, I doubt the S2000 will reach historical status like the Corvette.
That car was more revolutionary, in the big picture. I mean it revitalized American sportscars, I suppose. The S2000, yeah it's revolutionary (and evolutionary) in its technologies, but....

Mind you, I'd still buy one over a 'Vette.

As for how often I see them? It's funny. I usually don't see very many, but when I do see them, it's always like two or three in the same day. Of course, I long-distance travel frequently, so you pass through lots of places and see a wide variety.....

In Columbus i've only seen a few. I saw a silver one on the streets a few weeks ago with a female behind the wheel and temp tags.

More common than before, to be sure, but not nearly as common as Z3s, Boxters, etc., etc. So still relatively uncommon.

They make about 5000 a year, so there are 15000 of them out there now, as opposed to before. And it is summer. In some places people only drive them in the summer.

try 9200 or so a year. At lkeast thats what I have seen so there are more like 30,000 in the US alone. I don't care if I see a bunch of them all the time, it just means that in about 3 years I can get a second and strip it down into a track only car.

As for the colors I have a white and I have only seen 3 other whites in wild. never seen a 2002 yet.

I only see 3-4 a month, and I have never seen another White S2000 on the road, or in a showroom for that fact.

Luckily, every S2000 owner that I have waved to waves back, and sometimes they wave before me. I've got to tell you, I love having a car where the owners feel like a family, it makes the experience so much better.

Move to Colorado. I live in the Boulder area and I'm lucky if I see one a month, if that...
