S2000's are now quite common
This is from an e-mail I received from my friend, enroute from South Carolina with her new(used) 2001 yello S2K to its new home in Sebastopol, CA. It was written about 2,200 miles into the trip-
"Well, guess I should hit the road for the last go-round. I've only seen one
S2000 on the road so far and it was being trailered going east. No tickets
so far, but 3 close calls in Kansas. I was going about 87 when I nearly ru
the ass of a patrol car in the fast lane. They're very hard to see and very
sneaky in Kansas."
She has also been keeping tabs on gas mileage, and averaging about 25 mpg-

The Accords are "quite common".
The S2000's are still "uncommon", despite the fact you may see 2 or 3 a day.
Based on the statistics, you must be passing by 80-120 Accords every day, the difference is that you are not LOOKING FOR THEM.
Here is a new challenge: See if you can drive a mile without seeing an Accord.

I actually do look for other Accords, but only if they are similar to mine, i.e., 1993 EX w/standard transmission.
When I bought my Accord in 1993, I paid under dealer invoice. When I bought my S2000 in 1999 I paid $1500 over MSRP for a supposedly 'limited production' car.
For me, the ratio of S2000s to Accords that I see is of no interest. I do, however, see many more S2000s than NXSs and the number of S2000s that I see is certainly more than I expected.

Good Morning...
The IDEA I was conveying was that the S2000 is not "quite common", as you stated. A car such as the Accord, for example sake, is what would be determined a "quite common" car.
Good Afternoon...
It is of no interest to me either what the ratio of Accords to S2000's is.
and Good Night...
Perhaps, just perhaps you are seeing the same owners on a rotating basis. You know kind of like in Jim Carrey's movie "The Truman Show".
