S2002
My only regret is not buying it sooner. Interestingly enought at low RPM (sub 7000) the S2000 actually drives (throttle response) very similar to a civic, or any honda for that matter. It's when you get above that, or run wide open throttle that the magic starts.

Latest Automobile Magazine (Sep issue--2002 New Cars):
"The high-revving S2000 roadster continues to sell at a crisp pace, and it gets a glass rear window for its convertible top, livelier interior trim, and more refined shifting action."
Note also that the Civic Si is returning, in hatchback form, and the Prelude is dead.

I drive the car nearly everyday, and I love it! To be honest I've always been a real big Porsche guy, and I've had my heart set on a 1996 993 for quite some time now. After having the S2000 for the past month, I find the car to be even more fun than the 911!
The car is not as fast as a 911 or Corvette C-5, but in all reality even if you don't go into VTEC land you can still loose you licence with this car! I've had mine well over 100 mph, on winding roads and I can say there's really nothing like it. You will have to adjust your driving style to the car, but then again you do that with any high performance car.
The only mod's I'm making to my car will be a better sound system, I find the handling and power to be fine on the winter hardened roadswe have here with 16 inch wheels, anything larger will end up getting bent around here.
So go out and get one! I'm jealous that you'll have the option of Blue and a glass window, but if you're a sports car driver I can't imagine you not liking this car.
Good luck

One of the local Honda dealers has a white w/red 01' and it is hard to resist. That is one reason I'm trying to find out about the back glass, if it is not available then there is no reason to wait. I really think the blue would be great but, white is pretty and is to keep clean. So many choices and so little cash.
Ticket Flipper:
I have seen with my own eyes dealership press releases for the 2002. I can confirm Suzuka blue with Blue Leather interior. As well as the discontinuation of Silverstone Metallic. In place of silverstone will be a lighter silver that you can get with red or black leather interior. The dealership here in Cleveland was in the process of adding the new color(s) to its computers.
Someone else was correct in saying they saw in Automobile Magazine quoting something about glass rear window, a change in interior and something else dealing with the shifter / transmission. I get the magazine too.
As far as the daily driver issue. Absolutely not. It is an after work, or weekend machine only. I would highly recommend the car to anybody who treats their cars nice, simply for the fact that I would hate to see it mistreated.
My only small regret, is that I don't have the glass window, because the plastic window is more delicate. I have to use the tube when I drop the top so the window doesn't crinkle at all. Just in general if you want the window to be very clean, you have to treat it just right. However, I do like the fact they discontinued my Silverstone color because I think that is the best color of them all, and I have one.

My S2000 is my 8th Honda/Acura. While my Legend is very nice to ride in and my Odyssey with the navigation system is way cool the S2000 is a fast, fun finely tuned Roadster built for driving. With that in mind you might understand why most of us can
