so i was thumbing through a Road & Track mag at the news stand and on the 2nd page was an advertisement for Bosch spark plugs. and in the picture is an engine shot of a F20 engine with a "hot" air intake.

it was just stupid to me cause i have seen a few posts on these boards of people using those Bosch platinum +4 plugs with very bad results and (unless highly modefied i.e. F.I. ) the best plugs for the S is OEM NGKs.

What's a "Hot" air intake? Do you mean not a "cold" air intake? i.e. a Short Ram intake? You're talking about a +4 plug, thats no where equivalent to stock heat range of course you're going to have bad results. That's like comparing the apples to hookers. That being said...
